Hello Everyone…

You may have noticed there have not been any blogs on Slowlane Guitars site for quite a few months. Dennis has been dealing with the difficulties of his disease over that time! The challenging part of Muscular Dystrophy is that you never know what one day from the next holds for you! Dennis does his very best each day to cope but some days he feels like he’s been hit by a freight train! He experiences severe nerve pain, tremors, and as his muscles continue to weaken some days it’s hard to get out of bed…which is why he cherishes every good day he has and looks forward to getting in his workshop to continue working on the guitars! We can’t thank each of you enough for your care and support from those of you that help with components, parts and handcrafted bodies and necks to our generous friend Jesse and his team at Sonfatherguitars in Rocklin, California! Dennis is a fighter and will continue to build these beautiful guitars every day he can, as he’s said many times “this project is what’s kept me alive!” So again we wish to thank each and every one of you for being there with your love and willingness to help us move forward with this project! The goal of Slowlane Guitars has always been to help those afflicted with Muscular Dystrophy and their families and with your continued support we intend to help in the fight to cure this ever challenging disease!
